The Conversation (Requests)
INVITE"I'm calling you." The start of a call.
ACK"I heard you." Confirms the call is connected.
BYE"Hanging up." Ends the conversation.
REGISTER"I am here." Phone telling the server its IP address.
The Answers (Responses)
100 Trying: "Hold on, I'm working on it."
180 Ringing: "The other phone is ringing."
200 OK: "Yes / Accepted / Answered."
401 Unauthorized: "Who are you? Please enter your password."
486 Busy: "They are on another call."
Usage notes:
In Wireshark: right-click a SIP packet → Follow → SIP Call (or UDP stream), then copy the text.
Paste the SIP messages in the box below and click Visualize Call.
Use Mask IPs (Privacy Mode) to hide internal IPs, usernames and numbers before sharing screenshots or logs.
